The Truth About the court case! Pastor Eugene Cowan II

I came to Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church with the vision of building a new church, but the truth was when I arrived there were some in position that already knew that monies were misappropriated.  There was a trustee ministry, and they had a comptroller who managed the books who reported to board of directors, deacons, trustees, and to the church.  This person knew everything that happened and never told the church the truth which until this day is amazing to me.  Deacon Mays and the deacons only responded to what they heard, but did it a way that went against biblical principles and the constitution and by laws of the church.  I made sure that finanical policy were put in place, the board of directors and Deacon ministry of the church voted and we have implemented finanical principles and policy that are sound.  The court case came down to a settlement which ended with deacons apologized to me and church and me apologizing to the deacons on behalf of the church. Two of the deacons no longer belong to the church, 1 is deceased, and the other two come one of them is one filed the law suit and said under oath this has nothing to do with Pastor Cowan.


I reached out to the reporter that did the case and he hasn't responded back talking about fair journalism.

Jeremiah has rebounded and we are and have made it through this journey!  It just amazing as I reflect how the facts never came out!

We go through things in life to solidify our faith and fortify our future.   If I never had a problem, I never knew God could solve them!
